The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission hosted the first Lionfish Summit in Cocoa Beach October 22 to 24. Leaders in lionfish research and management came together to share their current research and efforts with attendies that included government agencies, affected stakeholders, and the general public including concerned anglers and divers. The goal is to stop the current lionfish invasion that potentially could destroy our fisheries and reefs.

Topics included ongoing research efforts, research gaps, current management efforts and the exploration of alternative stratagies and challenges. The Florida Channel recorded the conference and we have links below so you can view the conference - the videos are almost as good as being there!
