Maps of the Keys Middle Keys Reefs & Shipwrecks
The Middle Keys GPS numbers include Florida Bay on the bay side and the Atlantic Ocean out to the Straights of Florida including Long Key to Marathon between Longitude 80 45 and 81 09.
The rules are very confusing and vary from site to site, so we have done the research for you and indicate at each site what you can and can't do. There are mooring buoys throughout the Keys with many you can fish from while tied to them indicated below by this icon . We include SPA Areas where fishing is Not Allowed to eliminate the guess work of where you can and cannot fish, spear or lobster. You can cast net for bait fish inside SPA areas if you have a Free Permit. Rules frequently change, so it is always best to inquire locally the area you will be fishing, lobstering or spearfishing. We indicate if the site is in "state waters" where rules vary by region.
